Hi Insomiac
I have been following your blog for many many months now. And it is a pleasure to read. I am a journalist by trade and i remain envious of your writing style. More Fire!!!!
Just a question for you, maybe you can spend a couple of sleepless nights pondering it….i am surprised that Uganda/Ugandans take pride in cleaning up the city for Chogm…is it that at any other given time there is no reason for a clean city? Why are we still trying to please colonial powers when it is high time to be doing work that will benefit the people ie the masses?
Case study:
Northern bypass – failed (in my humble opinion)
Roads (some stretching for 100’s of kilometres) in many parts of the world are started, built and completed – maintained thereafter
-simple necessity for good business trade and opportunity for a landlocked country
-multiple hotels built for the purposes of keeping up with the British Jones’s
For how much longer should the country remain content with being the latter in the trail?
Was just wondering about that…
Ms. Insomniac:
I have taken a stab at responding to your very intriguing article at

I guess the question that you thesis poses for me is: Are we whatever we say we are?
Interesting blog u have here! Will definately add it to my links!
