Blogging for Human Rights: Anita’s Story

Meet my friend Anita.

Anita will turn 35 this June.  She is medium-brown, about 5’4″, slender with a large mop of deep black hair.  Anita has the most soulful eyes that I have every seen.  They are they kind that speak volumes without embarrassing you.  The kind that make you want to open up to her and confess your deepest darkest sins.

Anita is not a typical beauty, but there is something about her eyes that makes you look and look and look again.

Anita has strange and raspy voice.  It sounds like a tuneless rusty old oboe.  A little high, a little harsh and very odd.  Anita understands the peculiarities of her voice and uses it sparingly.  When she speaks, it is the simple wisdom of her few words that convey some sense of learned naiveté that make you sit up straight and pay attention.
